Wishful Praying
Richard leaned closer and whispered in wife’s ear, “Bri…Brianna, honey? I’m here.” Nothing. Maybe it was just a reflex, he thought.
Suddenly, she spoke, “Richie,” she said. The elated husband called for the doctor. She looked at herself.
She knew she had slight burns, but she seemed to be okay. She only had one question, “ How is the baby?”
